Atlanta rockers Blackberry Smoke are set to embark on a mammoth tour in the Spring, and they have an excellent bill of special guests to join them on their road trip. VENUE SPOTLIGHT

Ardmore Music Hall

Ardmore, PA

The Ardmore Music Hall, a 600 capacity intimate music venue & bar in Ardmore, PA, just 2 miles outside Philadelphia proper, was founded in 2013 but holds a rich history. The room was home to the legendary 23 East Cabaret from 1980-1994 and then had a 17 year run as Brownies 23 East, before being renovated and re-branded as a full time concert hall again. We recently had a chance to catch up with Chris Perella, who is the co-owner and is programming the music at the Ardmore Music Hall.

String Cheese Incident

The Capital Theater Port Chester NY

November 11 and 12, 2014

We are happy to present the first ever contribution from Keith Gaskin! Keith is a festival veteran, and often works in operations, spending time both in front of and behind the scene. He traveled through CT, braved the traffic and got to see one of his favorite bands for a two night stand, and took in a little late night action from Pink Talking Fish to boot!

Renaissance

Infinity Hall, Hartford, CT

November 5, 2014

They have always been respected; I’ve never heard anyone respond as they might with other prog “monsters.” “

The Golden Gate Wingmen

November 5 2014 Terrapin Crossroads

San Rafael CA

Show announcement leads to plane ticket, cross country sojourn and a pilgrimage to see the birth of an all star band, the Golden Gate Wingmen. It is wholly appropriate that the first show is at the mecca of improvisational bohemian music just north of San Francisco. The wizards come out from behind their curtains to come together and showcase their talents in a project both refreshingly original and derived from the collective shared experience of the musicians and their fans.

Adam Ezra solo acoustic show

Davis Square Theater Somerville MA

This is our first ever conjoined review- the first set is provided by Stephanie Janicedottir, and the second set review is provided by Jimm O’D. The show was intimate, acoustic, and personal, a rare treat for those who love and follow the live performance stylings of Adam Ezra.
