July 24th 2022 The Ranch Concert Hall & Saloon, Fort Myers, FL Review by Joel Shover

Faster Pussycat hit the stage rocking as the crowd filled up inside The Ranch Concert Hall & Saloon in beautiful Fort Myers, Florida. Faster Pussycat, made up of original member Taime Downe (Lead Vocals & Guitar) alongside Danny Nordahl (Bass), Chad Stewart (Drums), Sam “Bam” Koltun (Guitar), and Ronnie Simmons (Guitar) are still producing their famous sleaze rock songs with great finesse.  Highlights of the show for me were Slip of the Tongue, House of Pain, and Bathroom Wall.

As hard as these guys were rocking, they already had the crowd singing along to the hits, I couldn’t help but wonder what the rest of the night had in store here at The Ranch.

With a very quick breakdown of the stage, we were now ready for the Famed Glam Band from the Eighties, L.A. GUNS. Led by Mr. Tracii Guns himself along with Phil Lewis, Shawn Duncan, Ace Von Johnson, and the glamorous Johnny Martin. These guys showed they can still rock and roll, in fact they could teach the youth a thing or two.

They blasted off their hit set with CANNONBALL that had fans from around the globe rocking and rolling right into the hit song ELECTRIC GYPSY, “all nnnnnnnnnnnnnnight long!” This had the crowd OVER The EDGE as titties started shaking into the famed SEX ACTION.

The ranch was on fire smoking at this point as the band played the one that put them on the map THE BALLAD OF JAYNE that turned the famed lighter salute into the cell phone salute. Times may change but music stays forever and the crowd was fully expressing just that as we rocked into SPEED. The band knew it was NEVER ENOUGH as they continued to RIP AND TEAR through the night!

As the crowd made their way to the bar for a cold beverage and dried the sweat from their bodies, the stage was being set for the headliner.

I can’t help but think of a late old friend that turned me onto Cinderella back in the day when she put up a poster of Tom Keifer and I was like who is that? She responded, That’s the lead singer of Cinderella and I love him. Thank you, Michelle M. for introducing me.

I started with seeing Tom in Hartford, CT when he opened for David Lee Roth. Then the following year as they headlined a tour with the Bullet Boys and Winger and many shows thereafter, so to be able to see him in a club that really should be dubbed the Whisky Go Go of the east is truly a treat.

The lights dimmed and the band took to the center of the stage for the pre-show ritual. The show featured a fourteen-song set opening with TOUCHING THE DIVINE right into our first of ten Cinderella songs. For those in attendance were truly blessed as Keifer belted his very distinctly Soulful Blues voice into NIGHT SONGS.

COMING HOME rocked us into IT’s NOT ENOUGH. It wasn’t enough as the rocking crowd wanted more and more the band gave with the smash hit SOMEBODY SAVE ME that had everyone in The Ranch rocking. This took us to Keifer’s latest original RISE. We rose into another Cinderella classic NOBODY’S FOOL which put the fans on SOLID GROUND that seemed to be FALLING APART AT THE SEAMS. Keifer and the band took us to THE LAST MILE and reminded us with the ballad you DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU GOT (TILL IT’S GONE) as we all sang along with our hearts. They picked up the pace once again to the classic SHAKE ME that had us rocking once more into SHELTER ME. The band finished the Rock & Roll evening with an epic encore of GYPSY ROAD.

The Tom Keifer Band are: Tom Keifer, Savannah Keifer, Tony Higbee, Billy Mercer, Kendra Chantelle, Jared Pope and Kory Myers.
