Manafestival

The second annual Mana Fest will take place at Camp Lion Knoll in Greenfield, MA from August 9-11th, 2019.

The brainchild of Jake Snow, Mana Fest is a festival that focuses on the friendships, families, and music of the people who live in our beloved Western Massachusetts (and beyond)! Begun in 2018, the first Mana Festival was a one-day affair that stretched from the morning into the wee hours. The festival quickly outgrew its first location, Camp Apex in Shelburne Falls, and has found a new home at Camp Lion Knoll in the northern part of Greenfield. RSVP to the Facebook event here. Reach out to any of the bands listed below for your one-of-a-kind ticket ($50 for the weekend) or buy at the gate for $60.

“Mana” is a Polynesian concept wherein spiritual energy of power and strength exists in objects and persons and can be passed from one to another and taken away. Jake came upon this idea when he was living in Hawai’i and decided to adopt the ethos in his way of life and apply it to the Western Mass community of musicians, music lovers, artists, and everyone in between.

Not only does Mana Fest boast an impressive lineup of 413-centric bands (and those who hail from nearby), but it also will offer a host of family-friendly activities. The “Mana Ohana” can get down with a DIY tie-dye station, yoga, hula hoop workshops, fire spinning, and more. The fest will be replete with vendors as well for all your festie needs. The festival organizers simply request “no glass, no dogs, no fire, and positively no glass dogs on fire!”
