The band is Jeff Chimenti on keyboards (Furthur, Ratdog, GD50 and Dead and Company), Jay Lane on drums (Ratdog, Furthur, Primus, Electric Beethoven), John Kadlecik on guitar and vocals (Furthur, Dark Star Orchestra, John Kadlecik Band) and Reed Mathis on bass and vocals (Jacob Fred’s Jazz Odyssey, Billy and the Kids, Tea Leaf Green, Electric Beethoven) and have played a few dozen shows since their birth in November of 2014.

In between formations, members of the Wingmen are constantly busy.  This last year Mathis launched his life long dream project in Electric Beethoven.  With Jay Lane on drums and Todd Stoops on keyboards plus others he has been recreating the melodies and themes from Beethoven’s music and putting them in a modern format.  They have been touring from coast to coast in the last six months or more.

Jeff Chimenti has been busy touring with Dead and Company alongside Oteil Burbridge, John Mayer, Bob Weir, Billy Kreutzman and Mickey Hart.  He has also been seen with Jay Lane performing with Steve Kimock.

John Kadlecik has been very busy the last year with his John Kadlecik Band and doing his own shows in a solo Acousti’Lectric format.  He will be ending the year with a series of these solo shows and with four final shows with the John Kadlecik Band (12/28 Ardmore Philadelphia, 12/29 and 30 at the State Theatre in Falls Church VA and then on 12/31 with Keller Williams in Baltimore.) Check out the John Kadlecik tour plans here.

Finding the time to come together is one of the challenges of a band with band members who are in so many other projects.  The end result though is worth the wait.
