FTX ARENA in Miami, FL September 24 2022 Review by Joel Shover
Florence + The Machine stopped in Miami, Florida at the always stunning FTX Arena on Saturday, September 24th 2022. The energy that they brought with this Dance Fever Tour was truly amazing.
Florence + The Machine are an Indie Pop band that formed in 2007 across the pond in London, England that consists of: Florence Welch – lead vocals, percussion; Isabella Summers – Keyboards, piano, synthesizers, backing vocals; Robert Ackroyd – guitars, backing vocals, bass; Tom Monger – harp, xylophone, percussion, backing vocals; Cyrus Bayandor -bass; Aku Orraca Tetteh – percussion, backing vocals; Dionne Douglas – violin, backing vocals; Hazel Mills – keyboards, backing vocals; and Sam Doyle – drums.
The show was truly magical with Florence’s beautiful operatic voice being the extreme highlight for me. At times a she gracefully glid across the stage in bare feet singing lyrics of such love and pain fiercely but yet poetically. I was entranced right from the beginning and amazed at the extreme vocal range that she has!
The fans or should we say Flos were dressed for the show with their floral crowns and exquisite dresses that for sure I knew I was somewhere special tonight! It is evident that there is a significant cult-like following for this band, although we made it through the night with no severed hands being thrown onto to the stage all I can keep saying is it truly was magical when Florence went into the crowd singing, or was she looking for more offerings? 😉
The band played hits like Ship to Wreck (a fan favorite), Hunger, Cosmic Love, Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up), and Dog Days are Over. This concert had it all perfect sound, amazing lights/staging and of course performance! Dance Fever is a true experience into the arts, go see this tour! Check out the full setlist below
