Kit Chris Pandolfi-Produced record, Muir Maid, announced for the Kitchen Dwellers: the album comes out November 8th

After a wildly successful Kickstarter campaign, where Kitchen Dwellers crowdsourced more than their goal to support a coming studio effort, the band is pleased to announce the release of Muir Maid, expected out November 8th, 2019. The first single off the Chris Pandolfi-produced record, “Covered Bridges,” is out now.

Muir Maid is the product of spending the last few years on the road honing in our sound,” shares the band of the new release. “There are tales of adventure, personal growth, and commentary on what it’s like to live life on the road.”

The jaunty “Broken Cage” spins a cowboy tail of life on the trail, while “The Comet” tackles the challenges of maintaining human connection when you’re always on the move, and the introspective “Phaedrus” takes its title from former Montana State University professor Robert Pirsig’s philosophical road-trip classic ‘Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.’ Perhaps, though, it’s “The Living Dread,” a song with no lyrics at all, that best encapsulates what Kitchen Dwellers are all about.

For this release, Kitchen Dwellers–comprised of guitarist Max Davies, bassist Joe Funk,  banjo player Torrin Daniels and mandolinist Shawn Swain–enlisted the help of The Infamous Stringdusters’ Chris Pandolfi to produce the record. They are quick to credit his influence to their heightened musicality on Muir Maid.

“Chris Pandolfi was our ideal producer and we were lucky enough to have him interested in the project,” the band elaborates. “He brought a level of excitement and helped us lay down something that we feel represents the energy and power of our live shows. Just by hanging out with a musician like Chris, you absorb what he says and how he approaches songs, and all of a sudden you’re a better musician for it.”

While the record is not due out until early November, pre-order is happening now with exclusive merch bundles available here.

Tickets for all newly announced dates are on sale now and can be purchased via the band’s website. A full list of upcoming appearances can be found below.
