K Flay by Justine Willard

The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco welcomes K Flay on March 12 2022. By Justine Willard.

K Flay brought her The Inside Voices Outside Voices Tour to the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco on March 12th.

The sold out show was also a hometown show for K Flay as well which made the night even more special.

To start the night out K Flay performed “Four Letter Words” a song from her most recent album and the name of the tour that was just released last month. Lie every K Flay show the night is all about not being afraid to be a wierdo and to even embarrass it by asking how many weirdos are out in the crowd.

Her 21 song set included many interludes and for the 2nd one was a flashback of her at 19 and just discovering music. And how it spoke to her and was the first time she could shut out all the anxious voices in her head. She then went on to perform “TGIF” which was the first song she made in her dorm room.

Along with deserving a great vocal performance K Flay always has a huge stage presence switching between playing guitar and just effortlessly moving around stage and hyping up the crowd.

As an encore K Flay performed not one or two but three songs, “Beef Daddy”, This Baby Don’t Cry”, and “High Enough”.

The tour is now over but I expect K Flay will be back on the road sooner rather than later if you missed her this time around.
