The House of Blues Chicago welcomed Todd Rundgren on November 01 2021 by Jim Snyder

What a show Todd Rundgren House of Blues Chicago! This marathon show provided anything a fan could want: the Hits , old vintage songs and side 1 of the A Wizard A True Star record .

Todd’s band on this night in the windy city was Prairie Prince on drums, Kasim Sulton on bass, Bobby Strickland on alto saxophone, Gil Assayas on keyboards, and it was great to have our hero Jesse Gress back on guitar. The tight ensemble hit on all my favorites, from Hello its Me , to Just One Victory, along with Fair Warning and many many more!

There were lots great visuals to go with the band and some cool costumes, too. No one could argue with two sets of Todd Magic. Fresh off of his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Rundgren seemed ready to prove that his songbook and long history as the rock and roll outsider were worthy of not only Hall induction, but also of the attention of the packed house that night.

Fans have but these last two nights in San Francisco (NOV 16 and 17) to catch this tour, but one has to imagine upcoming 2022 tour dates are just around the corner.
