Nelson Ledges Quarry Park is pleased to announce its Fall Badfish Festival, featuring the premier Sublime tribute Badfish, will take place at the famed venue/campground in eastern Ohio from September 27th-29th, 2019.

Badfish will perform for two nights over the weekend and will be joined by Tropidelic, the Quasi Kings, Little Strangers, the Trainjumpers, with more bands yet to be revealed. As one of Nelson Ledges’ most popular events of the year, any reggae fan in the OH-PA-NY area would do well to grab a weekend pass now. Not only will there be two nights of music, but those who attend can also enjoy hiking, biking, camping, swimming, cliff diving, sunbathing, sand volleyball, full-court basketball, food vending, and a whole lot more. Camping sites are available for reservation as well. The good folks behind NLQP advise you to make your plans now to celebrate the end of a fantastic festival season! RSVP to the Facebook event here to stay updated!

Says Joel Hanks, frontman of Badfish, “[Nelson Ledges] is really beautiful and people love it there.  And as [the festival] grew and grew, it’s definitely one of those events that people know is coming and they look forward to it. […] Then of course I think about the park itself, jumping off the quarry, swimming in the lake, running around the woods after our set, and hanging with people.” Wow, what’s not to like?

Admission includes both music and camping. Pricing tiers can be found at this link and weekend passes (Friday-Sunday) are $75 presale and $90 at the gate.

ABOUT BADFISH

The phenomenon known as Sublime, arguably the most energetic, original and uniquely eclectic band to emerge from any scene, anywhere, ended with the untimely death of lead singer, guitarist and songwriter Brad Nowell in May of 1996. But encompassing the sense of place and purpose long associated with Sublime’s music, Badfish, a Tribute to Sublime continues to channel the spirit of Sublime with a fury not felt for some time. What separates Badfish from other tribute bands is that they have replicated Sublime’s essence, developing a scene and dedicated following most commonly reserved for label-driven, mainstream acts. Badfish make their mark on the audience by playing with the spirit of Sublime. They perform not as Sublime would have, or did, but as Badfish does!
