Gov’t Mule Announce Late Summer/Fall Tour Dates

Rock titans Gov’t Mule have released “Mr. Man,” the latest captivating cut from their forthcoming live album and film package, Bring On The Music – Live at The Capitol Theatre.

Check out the first look and first interview with Gov’t Mule front man GRAMMY Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, producer, and revered guitarist Warren Haynes and film director Danny Clinch via Forbes. The clip for “Mr. Man” finds the band having a musical conversation with one another, going off script as they stretch the ending of the song in a way they never have before, showcasing the incredible improvisation for which Gov’t Mule is lauded. 

Bring On The Music – Live at The Capitol Theatre will be out this summer in various configurations: the 2 CD-set, 2 separate double-vinyl packages, and digital (featuring audio from the film) will be released June 28th with the film available as part of a 2 CD/2 DVD deluxe package (featuring exclusive audio not in the film) and on Blu-ray July 19th via Provogue / Mascot Label Group.

“This is a cool version of ‘Mr. Man’ which is a song we stopped playing for a while but recently brought back. Glad we captured this version which breaks down at the end and goes somewhere different than the usual arrangement,” shares Haynes.

Bring On The Music – Live at The Capitol Theatre, directed by renowned music photographer and director Danny Clinch (Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters, Phish)in a 9-camera shoot,was captured during two special nights at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, on April 27th and 28th, 2018 and showcases the band’s jam-packed live spectacle and master musicianship through a cinematic lens that is sure to thrill fans. The deluxe release features more than 5 hours of live music including a full-length concert film, interviews with the band, behind-the-scenes footage, photos shot by Danny Clinch over the years, and more. This is the first time that Gov’t Mule’s updated stage set and production have been filmed, bringing the excitement and spectacle of a Gov’t Mule show directly into fans’ homes. 

Gov’t Mule have also announced new dates for their Summer of ’19 Tour – including Dallas, Austin, Boise and Los Angeles – which kicks off June 21st and will feature support from newly announced openers The Record Company, Nikki Lane, Joanne Shaw Taylor, and Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe on select dates. Pre-sale tickets will be available Wednesday, June 19th and general on-sale begins Friday June 21st. Please visit www.mule.net for all ticketing details. 

Next, Gov’t Mule will headline Mountain Jam with a double-header performance on June 14th and 15 that Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Warren Haynes will return as co-presenter of the festival for its 15th year. The band recently announced their anticipated return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on August 18th, a new-found summer tradition following last year’s incredible super-sized show. Ryan Bingham will support.
