Presented and curated by Granite Lion Entertainment and Roots of Creation, Summer in the 603 brings a unique reggae/rock music festival to Hampton Beach. This year the 603’s own, Roots of Creation will be joined on stage by many specials guests, including the internationally famous reggae artist Marlon “Ganja Farmer” Asher [Trinidad and Tobago]. Marlon Asher is featured on RoC’s 2018 release Grateful Dub: a reggae-infused tribute to the Grateful Dead. This will be the first time that Marlon Asher will perform “Fire on the Mountain” live with RoC. By popular demand, RoC will be performing two sets at Summer in the 603, including a full Grateful Dub set. RoC is currently on national tour in support of Grateful Dub, which debuted No. 1 on the Billboard Reggae chart in March. Billy Kottage, the trombonist from Reel Big Fish, will also join RoC live for both sets. You can also expect The Super Secret Project (The SSP) to perform their viral music video “Summer in the 603” with RoC at the music festival. Summer in the 603 is also proud to present the additional festival headliner, Fear Nuttin Band (Springfield, MA), for a very special reunion show. Fear Nuttin Band was a unique band in the reggae movement for over a decade. They had their last official show in October 2016. “We are excited to share our vibe on stage with everyone for this special appearance,” says Chris Regan, FNB guitarist, who is also now the bassist for RoC. A beer tent will be set up in the outside area and the full bar will be available inside Wally’s. Outside games to enjoy between sets will be set up, including corn hole. There will be unique merchandise vendors and food trucks at the Block Party, along with Wally’s full menu available inside. Summer in the 603 is still accepting applications for vendors and sponsors. If interested call (603) 957-6606. The festival is rain or shine. Just announced is the national touring band, Tropidelic from Cleveland, OH who will add a hip-hop/funk sound to the reggae vibe, and Summer in the 603 is excited to have them join the lineup. Also new to the lineup this year are Crooked Coast [Falmouth, MA] and The Quins [Boston, MA], and Buddhafly [Boston, MA]. Wally’s is located at 144 Ashworth Ave in Hampton Beach, NH, one block from the ocean. VIP upgrades will be available.
