The Joe Marcinek Band calls itself an “ever evolving mixture of original compositions and incredible musicians.”  True to form, their upcoming album and run of Midwest shows, rolling through Ohio, Illinois and Indiana, feature many musical greats.  Some of the band’s past guests include Kris Myers (Umphreys McGee), Bernie Worrell, Jason Hann (String Cheese Incident / EOTO), Erik “Jesus” Coomes (Lettuce), Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman (Trey Anastasio Band), Mike Greenfield (Lotus), Borham Lee (Break Science), Steve Molitz (Phil Lesh & Friends / Particle) Joey Porter (The Motet / Juno What), Fareed Haque, Scott Metzger, Nate Werth (Snarky Puppy) Garrett Sayers (The Motet) Allie Kral (Yonder Mountain String Band), Freekbass, Vinnie Amico and Jim Loughlin (moe.) among others.  

The weekend of June 9th through June 11th,  the Joe Marcinek Band will feature a line-up consisting of Steve Molitz (of Particle and Phil & Friends), Jimmy Tebeau (of The Schwag), as well as renowned New Orleans drummer Johnny Vidacovich.  In advance of these shows, Live Music News and Review caught-up with the band’s frontman, Joe himself, to talk about their upcoming album and this special line-up.
