Due to a state of emergency resulting from a thousand year flood in Vermont, the annual event is being postponed.
In a statement on Facebook, the festival promoters have announced:
“Jammers, we are beyond disbelief in what has just happened in our host community of Cabot VT.
There has been catastrophic damage to buildings and roads all throughout the town , and surrounding towns from the historic flooding.
Roads are impassable.
We are being forced to reschedule our event this year.
This is way beyond flooded fields and muddy roads. This is a disaster , and the entire State of Vermont is in a state of emergency!
Please respect the community and all of us organizers at this unfortunate time.
We will be addressing all your concerns over the next day or two. Right now we are very busy notifying our bands , volunteers and others that are immediately affected.
