Uplift Music Festival, the Monadnock region’s community event, has teamed up with the Contoocook Valley School District (ConVal) and their South Meadow Middle School in Peterborough, NH to be the beneficiary of this year’s Uplift event on August 6th.

The founders of Uplift have always believed that local music, talent and agriculture have the potential to “uplift” the community, and this year in setting their sights on the ConVal school district and South Meadow School (SMS), the organizers hope to restore and refresh SMS’s diminished music and arts programs.  Aside from the school’s instruments being painstakingly limited, the ones that remain in working condition are barely hanging on. Therefore, organizers are also encouraging attendees to donate and bring gently used instruments they no longer play to the festival.
