Tuesday, April 22 – Hudson Valley, NY – Today, Dayglo Presents, Harper House Music Foundation and Riverfest FPS announce the Hudson River Music Festival set for Saturday, June 14 from 11:00am-9:00pm in Croton Point Park. Rooted in the spirit of Toshi and Pete Seeger’s Clearwater Festival, the new festival is set to bring together music lovers, environmental advocates, and families for a vibrant celebration. This all-ages festival will unite people in a gathering fueled by a shared love for the river, music, and activism. From its musical performances to community-driven experiences, the festival embodies the next chapter in a beloved tradition. 

Musical acts will include Grahame Lesh & Friends – featuring Rick Mitarotonda (Goose), Oteil Burbridge (Dead & Company, Allman Brothers Band), Taylor Goldsmith, Griffin Goldsmith (Dawes), Jen Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band), Lucius featuring Griffin & Taylor Goldsmith, Madison Cunningham, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Steve Earle & Friends and Jorma Kaukonen (Hot Tuna, Jefferson Airplane). Additional special activities will include the iconic Earthball, Pete & Toshi’s Grove, the Circle of Song, and family friendly performances from the Arm of the Sea Puppet Show and The Rock and Roll Playhouse, as well as the mesmerizing Boat Flotilla, where boats gather along the Hudson River and move in harmony.

Billboard has selected Shapiro multiple times for its Power 100 List of “Most Influential People in the Music Business.” Shapiro sits on the board of a number of civic and charitable organizations, including: New York Public Radio, City Parks Foundation and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum. Peter also is a member of the Rock Hall’s nominating committee. In 2019, he was named Chairman of HeadCount, one of the leading youth voter engagement and participation organizations in America.
