Live on tour this January and February with Andy Frasco and the U.N.
North Carolina jam rock wizards Big Something, have released their newest single ‘Heavy.’ Heavy is the lead single off the forthcoming album Escape to be released later this year. ‘Escape’ will be the bands 6th studio album following up on their 2018 release The Otherside.
Heavy was born from an electronicdance beat created by Nick MacDaniels (Vocals/Guitar) and further developed by the rest of the band on live instruments in the studio. “We knew we could breathe some really interesting life into it as a full band as soon as we heard Nick’s demo.” explains drummer Ben Vinograd (Drums)
The track represents a brand-new approach to writing and recording music for Big Something. “For the first time ever, we went into the studio with a completely blank canvas and developed a brand new album together from scratch. Everything was written and recorded in the moment,” MacDaniels reveals. “It was one of the most fun experiences we’ve ever had as a band and I think you can hear that especially on this track.”
Big Something is Nick MacDaniels (vocals, guitar), Casey Cranford (sax, EWI), Jesse Hensley (lead guitar), Ben Vinograd (drums), Doug Marshall (bass), and Josh Kagel (keys, trumpet).
From late January through February the band is touring with Andy Frasco and the U.N. That tour will take them from the southeast up into the northeast and into the Midwest with shows all the way out to Chicago, IL.
