“I love you baby ’till the parking ticket runs out,” sings Ciaran Lavery. “Until the lights in the street are as bright as the stars…”
The award-winning singer-songwriter from Aghagallon in County Antrim, Ireland played for a special invitation only show sponsored by Spotify Fans First. Lavery, the passionate singer/songwriter didn’t disappoint the lucky fans in attendance. It’s his storytelling that sets him apart, he sings with passion and the songs are like short stories.
Lavery played for over an hour and performed twelve songs. Some from his first two albums and some his upcoming album titled Sweet Decay as well as a brand new song, Bella that made its appearance for the very first time ever at Rockwood Music Hall in New York. Lavery mixes contemplative lyrics with unique acoustic guitar delivery. His evocative voice delivers in a gritty and contemplative way, causing an aching and longing for the listener, a hope to capture the scene as Lavery sees it. He keeps you leaning forward, wondering.
