Roots of Creation are getting ready to go out on the most significant national tour that they’ve hit in years. After the success of last Spring’s release of Livin Free, which hit #1 on the Billboard reggae album charts, the band is taking to the road with FiYah!
Shows are to include major festival appearances including California Roots where they will join Slightly Stoopid and John Brown’s Body, Ballyhoo, and others to Camp Bisco in Scranton PA. In that time they will be touring with other great bands including this month and beyond with Sublime tribute band Badfish, two shows next week with Lucky Chops (including 4/20 in NYC at Irving Plaza) multiple tour dates in Colorado with Wookiefoot, and a slew of dates in California with Six60 (Australian band making their US debut).
Roots of Creation are in the studio right now working on an amazing record that is being engineered by Errol Brown, Marley’s studio engineer and should be available for a release later in 2017. There will be a fan funding project with some really great ways for fans to connect to the band and to the creative process.
This is all on top of a release by Brett Wilson back in December of his solo record, Get Ready! Live in Columbus. That record hit top 10 on both Itunes and Billboard reggae album charts. Wilson will be returning with the band to Columbus on June 4th to release the CD there along with a Roots of Creation set.
