On Thursday night, January 30th, Ollabelle delivered a breathtaking performance at The Narrows in New Bedford, MA, capping off their Northeast tour with a sold-out show that left fans in awe. The venue’s intimate atmosphere provided the perfect setting for a night of rich harmonies, soulful melodies, and heartfelt storytelling from a band that has spent two decades defining modern roots music.
The ensemble—Amy Helm, Byron Isaacs, Fiona McBain, Glenn Patscha, Tony Leone, and touring guitarist Dan Littleton—took the stage to roaring applause, immediately setting the tone with the hauntingly beautiful “Before This Time.” From there, the setlist showcased the band’s seamless fusion of gospel, folk, blues, and rock, with highlights including “High on a Mountain,” “Brotherly Love,” and “Elijah.”
Throughout the night, Ollabelle’s chemistry was undeniable. Helm’s powerful, emotive vocals soared, complemented by Isaacs’ steady bass lines and McBain’s crystalline harmonies. Patscha’s keyboard work was both intricate and expressive, while Leone’s drumming provided the perfect backbone for the band’s dynamic sound. Littleton, an inspired addition to the lineup, added subtle yet impactful textures to the arrangements.

The audience was particularly captivated by “See-Line Woman” and “Blue,” which showcased the group’s ability to blend traditional influences with modern interpretations. The deep, resonant groove of “Soul of a Man” drew cheers from the crowd, and “Remember” was a standout, filled with poignant lyricism and swelling instrumentation. The crowd responded enthusiastically to two new songs, “Wreckage” and “Voice in the Rain,” which hinted at an exciting future for the band’s evolving sound.
As the evening drew to a close, Ollabelle delivered stirring renditions of “Waiting,” “Reach,” and the rollicking “John the Revelator.” “Riverside” provided a final, cathartic moment before the encore. The band returned to the stage for a breathtaking version of “Brokedown Palace,” sending the audience home with a sense of deep connection and gratitude.
The Narrows proved to be a fitting venue for the final stop of this milestone tour, providing an atmosphere that allowed the band’s raw emotion and impeccable musicianship to shine. As Ollabelle bid farewell to their Northeast fans, they left an indelible mark, reminding everyone in attendance why their music continues to resonate so deeply after twenty years.
