OMG, OMG, OMG! L7 played Sunday night to a completely sold out (they had to add a 2nd show on Monday) show at the historic Troubadour in Los Angeles.  Local favorite, Donny Popejoy, came out to introduce the band as he has done for a number of LA bands in the past.

L7 fully delivered with energy, musicianship, and crowd surfing while playing guitar!

L7 are more than a nostalgia act.  They have real songs, a funny and bad-ass presence on stage. They were influential to many Riot Grrrl bands back in the 90s. Donita Sparks might be the front woman for L7, but everyone gets their turn at the mic and spotlight.

Demetra “D” Plakas kept the band on track to keep the show at rip roaring 90 minutes (including an encore).  Suzi Gardner (bass) told the crowd to tip their servers, because she was a cocktail waitress there and one day the girl serving you drinks could be on stage!  ‘The Circle of Rock’.   And of course, Donita played her ‘Flying V’ guitar while being held up by the crowd. Jennifer got a chance to ‘surf the crowd’ too when her foot pedal stopped working briefly.
