Eau Claire, WI – Blue Ox Music Festival, the new premiere three-day outdoor music festival is celebrating the best in bluegrass, roots and Americana this June 11 – 13, 2015 at Whispering Pines Campground in Eau Claire, Wisconsin’s historic Chippewa Valley [5024 Cr
escent Avenue, Eau Claire, WI]. Featuring 27 the country’s leading and emerging artists, Blue Ox is co-curated by the Twin Cities’ own award-winning modern American string band, Pert Near Sandstone, which will perform twice throughout the weekend. Blue Ox’s lineup is anchored by touring heavyweights Yonder Mountain String Band, Grammy award winners, Del McCoury Band, and mandolin master and the “Father of Newgrass” himself, Sam Bush.
Blue Ox will see a magnetic and diverse line-up of artists take to its stage throughout the weekend. The festival will feature 27 celebrated bluegrass and roots veterans and heavy-hitting newcomers from around the country. Highlights include, The Infamous Stringdusters, Greensky Bluegrass, Justin Townes Earle, Pokey LaFarge, Jeff Austin Band, Elephant Revival, Horse Feathers, The Hackensaw Boys, Greg Brown, Dead Man Winter featuring members of Trampled By Turtles and Henhouse Prowlers.

Taking its name after the legendary American folklore character Paul Bunyan’s trusty companion Babe the Blue Ox, Blue Ox Music Festival will take place at Whispering Pines Campground in Eau Claire, WI. With over 75 acres of beautiful fields and pine and oak trees stretching throughout the grounds, Blue Ox’s locale is the perfect environment to enjoy a scenic weekend listening to some of the best bluegrass and roots artists the country has to offer. The festival will feature a variety of locally sourced food vendors, craft and domestic beers and camping options.
Ticket Information: Three-Day General Admission tickets are on sale for $150 and Three-Day Perk Pass Tickets are on sale for $225 at www.blueoxmusicfestival.com. Two-day general admission tickets cost $125. Perk Pass Tickets include early entrance into the festival bowl for all shows, a commemorative Blue Ox cup and free unlimited VIP showers. All tickets include free unreserved camping and parking. There are also a number of Electrical Campsites available for $195.
Whispering Pines Campground is conveniently located 3 miles off of Interstate 94 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Blue Ox will be the first festival appearance by Henhouse Prowlers since their second tour to Africa, where they are spreading the word on bluegrass and American music as a part of the American Musicians Abroad program.
