Swedish DJ Avicii found dead in Oman, was twenty eight years old. “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii,” a statement to CNN read. “He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.” He was getting ready to celebrate his recent success with an appearance at the American Music Awards in May. Charlie Puth commented, “Wow, I would like to take a moment to pay tribute to the man who really opened my eyes as to what my productions could one day sound like. was a genius and a music innovator, and I can not believe he is no longer with us. RIP to the very best.” The producer, born with the name Tim Bergling, rose to prominence on the strength of hits like Wake Me Up which featured Aloe Blacc on vocals.   He was twice nominated for a Grammy Award including in 2012 for his work with David Guetta on the song Sunshine and in 2013 for his song Levels. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcrbM1l_BoI Avicii’s death has been confirmed by his publicist Ebba Lindqvist. Avicii was quite public about his struggles with alcohol and partying including public statements to Rolling Stone and a brief retirement from touring in 2016.
