On August 14th, 2025, Christian heavy metal legends Stryper stormed the stage at Mohegan Sun’s intimate Wolf Den in Uncasville, Connecticut for a night that proved faith and metal make one divine combination. Comprising three original members — brothers Michael Sweet (vocals/guitar), Robert Sweet (drums), and Oz Fox (guitar) — along with longtime bassist Perry Richardson, the band showed why they have sold over 10 million albums worldwide and remain a force in the genre after more than four decades.

Fresh off a successful South American tour, the band was in high spirits, joking with the crowd about their “gourmet” tour diet — a lot of McDonald’s — and expressing their joy to be back playing for their U.S. fans.
The setlist was a celebration of Stryper’s legacy, kicking off with fan favorites and diving deep into their catalog. Standout moments included soaring renditions of “Calling on You,” “Honestly,” “Free,” “Sorry,” “More Than a Man,” and the powerful “Surrender.” As always, the night ended with a roof-shaking, fist-pumping “To Hell with the Devil” that had every fan standing with hands in the air, singing along like it was 1986 all over again.
The Wolf Den, known for hosting top-tier acts in an up-close-and-personal setting, proved the perfect venue for Stryper’s high-octane yet heartfelt performance. For the devoted faithful in attendance, it was more than just a concert — it was a testament to the enduring power of faith, brotherhood, and blistering guitar solos. Stryper didn’t just perform at Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den, they ministered in metal. Forty years so far and their message — and their music — remain as strong as ever.
