We are sorry to report on the passing of Shock G.

Most famous for the pioneering group Digital Underground, Shock G donned one of the most visible peronalities as Humpty Hump for their seminal hit, The Humpty Dance.

The legendary rapper was found in a hotel room in Tampa, according to his father, Edward Racker.

Additionally, Shock G was well known for his early collaborations with Tupac Shakur.

Shakur and Shock G collaborated on the 1993 Tupac song “I Get Around.” Shakur’s debut album “2Paclypse Now” listed Shock G as one of the producers.

Additionally Shock G worked with Prince, Dr Dre, KRS-One along with many others. Born on the East coast, Shock G moved to Oakland to form Digital Underground.

Shock G was 57 years old. No cause of death is available at this time. Our thoughts go out to his family and fans around the world.
