For the past 17 years, the revolutionary ticketing service, CashorTrade has been delivering live music experiences at face value to hundreds of thousands of live music fans. Additionally, the founding brothers, Brando and Dusty Rich have cultivated a social networking platform within their site, allowing fans help each other out in the face of sold out shows and jacked-up prices.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, CashorTrade announced a new streaming service this month called CashorTrade Streams. The platform will allow artists, venues, and festivals to broadcast all from one place; working in tandem with other streaming services such as, Facebook Live, Vimeo, and nugs.net.

“Everyone and everything we love in music needs our support: individual performers, touring bands, our beloved venues, and festival culture itself,” says Brando. “The pandemic has put up unprecedented roadblocks between fans and live music, and our streaming platform aims to support these groups while bringing music straight to the people again.”

Much unlike other streaming services, CashorTrade’s innovative platform includes promotional tools, as well as a finance manager to arrange splits and guarantees between performers and promoters. The artists and their promoters can also make individual CashorTrade channels, allowing them to embed links to their live streams and archives, as well as collect donations from fans.

Prior to CashorTrade Stream’s formal launch on Tuesday this week, several hundred streams have already been made available on the platform including Hug your Farmer, a benefit for food security in Vermont which includes music by Dave Matthews, Grace Potter, Martin Sexton, and Chadwick Stone from Dispatch. CashorTrade Streams also simulcasted Justice Comes Alive, a virtual festival for equality which featured names like, Phil Lesh, Umphrey’s McGee, Antibalas, Lettuce, and over 3 dozen more.

“Music connects us, even when we can’t physically be together”, says Brando. “As we navigate this new normal, we are looking to strengthen that connection between artists and fans. We can’t wait to create thousands more connections through the platform.”
