Max Creek, legends of the jamband scene, will headline two nights at Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox in Denver, CO on May 8th and 9th, 2020. This trip west for the Connecticut-based group is the first since May 2014, when they headlined two nights at Quixote’s True Blue. Tickets for the Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox concerts go on sale at 10 AM MST/12 PM EST on Friday, January 17th.
Max Creek is poised to celebrate 49 years of being a band in April 2020. The “Creekiversary” will flow to Denver for a late celebration in early May, so it’s advised that for those “Creek Freeks” out west be ready to snap up those tickets as soon as they go on sale. Max Creek’s team wanted to announce the show early in the year in case those fans on the East Coast want to travel out to catch these rare performances in the Rockies.
The band, composed of John Rider, Mark Mercier, Scott Murawski, Bill Carbone, and Jamemurell Stanley, has been a mainstay in the Northeast jam scene and beyond, performing at festivals and venues from Harry’s Hill in Starks, ME down to Meeting of the Minds in Schuylkill Haven, PA and everywhere in between. Two of several 49th Creekiversary shows have been announced already- two nights at Levon Helm’s fabled barn in Woodstock, NY. The Creek team is pleased to share that those concerts are now officially sold out, but there are more 49th Creekiversary shows planned.
