In a statement released by the band on August 5, it was learned that the Allman Betts Band must postpone over thirty tour dates.

The Allman Betts Band are postponing 31 North American concerts in August and September. Devon Allman has been advised by doctors that he cannot perform during this time due to an upcoming surgery and the necessary recovery time. Devon is expected to make a complete recovery and will be back onstage in October.

After a successful year touring as The Devon Allman Project with special guest Duane Betts, the sons of Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts are joining forces to form The Allman Betts Band.
