Swift Technique is back in the studio to explore a wide range of styles and influences in a new upcoming full-length album release.

Swift Technique, Philly’s fiery funk extravaganza, has created a Kickstarter to fund its first full-length album. You can check out the donation levels (and the goodies you’ll receive as a “thank you”) at this link. The band, which is now in its eleventh year of existence, needs to raise $12,000 by Saturday, August 24th with an “all-or-nothing” caveat. This means $12,000 (or more) needs to be donated before August 24th or the whole project will not be able to happen. So, with that in mind, the band is asking its friends and family for help! Here’s what they have to say:

Over the course of the last eleven years, we here on Planet Swift Technique have loved every minute of meeting and spending time with y’all around the country. We love nothing more than spreading joy and making new friends. We are so grateful and humbled to have had your continued support for over a decade!

So, in that spirit of community, it is with great joy and excitement that we reveal that we’ve been carefully crafting a batch of new music over the course of the last year! Further, we’ve started recording these songs to analog tape. We believe the sound quality and listening experience of an analog recording is unmatched. We want to give our fans the best product possible! And now, it’s time to refine this music for a full length, 100% analog, album release.

Throughout our little chunk of history, we’ve had the pleasure of sharing the stage with everyone from Wu-Tang Clan to The Meters. We’ve collaborated with so many fantastic artists and now, we want to collaborate with YOU! Yes, YOU! It’s a special and unique thing that Swift Technique has remained completely independent. This is due in no small part to your support. As we continue to work in the studio as a self-sufficient organization with full artistic control, Kickstarter felt like the natural platform to continue cooperating with our fans!

Get all the info- including donation tiers where fans can receive T-shirts, CDs of the new album, private lessons from Swift Technique members, and even a private house concert for those around the Philadelphia area who feel extra generous. . . all at their official Kickstarter link.
