Harry Brown’s Farm to host Harry’s Hoe Down 2019, the festival returns on the summer solstice June 21, 22, 23

STARKS ME –  Harry Brown’s Farm is opening for the 29th consecutive season with three days of art, music, and community in Starks, Maine on the summer solstice weekend, June 21-23.  Billboard and radio chart topping touring powerhouse, Roots of Creation, is headlining the festival, joined by Bella’s Bartok, a mesmerizing mix of Eastern European, Americana, punk, and pop music. Supporting headliners are the up-and-coming Skyfoot, The Trichomes, and Maine’s own Merther.

“We feel that it is important for the community to keep ticket prices low, include camping and parking, and to keep the scene clean. Our focus is on delivering a completely immersive experience,” says Producer and HBF Firebender, Jodi Stebbins.

The Barefoot Truth Dance Company will be present with over 20 dancers, entrancing the audience with improvisational movement storytelling, mesmerizing colors, and costumes. The dance company will be performing powerful individual sets, and in collaboration with musical artists, including sitarist David Pontbriand.

Outside of performing arts, additional activities at the festival include a brownie-only bake-off and a birthday celebration for Harry Brown complete with cake and a card for the festival community to sign.

“Now that I am 70, I finally have plausible deniability” said Harry Brown.

Harry’s Hoe Down 2019 will take place June 21-23 at Harry Brown’s Farm in Starks ME. Gates open on Thursday June 20 at noon for early-arrivals and Friday June 21 at 9 AM. Weekend Festival Tickets are $70, children 12 & under are admitted for free with guardian.
