Performing Live at Rockwood Music Hall on March 14 2019
Review & Photos by Mark Ashe

A Fragile Tomorrow, the indie rockers from South Carolina, blew the roof off the house at New York’s Rockwood Music Hall Thursday night. The quartet consists of brothers Sean Kelly on vocals and guitar, Brendan Kelly on guitar, Shaun Rhoades on bass, and Josh Kean on drums. The band is on tour promoting their just released ninth album (counting EPs) Generation Loss.

The band kicked it into high gear right from the start, with the title track of Generation Loss. With the two Kelly brothers on guitars, they were simpatico, trading licks and solos. They segued right into How Do You Dance To It? – the crowd really got into it here, they started dancing and didn’t stop throughout the set. Next up is the politically charged, Gun Shy, – a great song for what’s happening now in the world. A Fragile Tomorrow unveiled a couple of unreleased tunes, including Too Much Change and Sledgehammer.

One of the great things about being a photographer/reviewer is that I get to see bands that I would have never heard of before. When I find a treasure like A Fragile Tomorrow, it’s just an awesome feeling. Hopefully after reading this, you’ll checkout their music on one of the music platforms.
