~ What A Long, Strange Trip It’s Been! ~

30 years ago, a group of Grateful Dead Fans decided to Broadcast live recordings of their favorite band(s) on WBAI-FM in NYC. The Show would eventually come to be called ‘Morning Dew’. Listeners would record the Broadcasts, and since then, thousands of people in the Tri-State Area have built up healthy collections of live music and rarities by The Grateful Dead, Hot Tuna, Allman Brothers, Taj Mahal, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, and many other musical artists and bands. Live In-Studio performances took place by bands such as Blues Traveler, The Spin Doctors, and many others.

The 3 current Host/Producers, Stu Robins Septoff, Don Grossinger and Bob O’Donnell have a combined 100 years of Radio experience. ‘The Dew Crew’ have expanded the scope of their Free-Form Radio fare to include Rock, Jazz, Bluegrass, Newgrass, Prog, Reggae and whatever is GOOD!  They have conducted Interviews with such luminaries as Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, Paul Kantner, Roger McGuinn, Todd Rundgren, Richie Furay, Rosanne Cash, Ian Hunter, Dave Mason, Edie Brickell and even multiple members of Frank Zappa’s ‘Mothers Of Invention’. Up and coming bands and artists are featured, as well as established Touring Artists, Rock Photographers, Sound Engineers and Authors, all of whom are also featured on ‘Morning Dew’ in their Interview segments. Co-Producer Don Grossinger states: “There is no program that rivals the scope and depth of Morning Dew”.

WFDU Radio welcomes the Morning Dew Crew to their excellent roster of On-Air Host/Producers. ‘Morning Dew’ will Air on 89.1 FM each Saturday at 10:00 PM – 1:00 AM (EST), also streaming live at http://wfdu.fm , and on the free WFDU App, TuneIn Radio App or Alexa. Co-Producer Stu Robins Septoff explained The Dew Crew’s approach: “We like to go places where other stations dare not to go. You know, music from the other side of the fence!” Co-Producer Bob O’Donnell stated “We are excited to be coming to work at WFDU’s state-of the art facilities, and we’re pleased to be serving the broad Tri-State Area with the best in ‘Live Music Radio on WFDU Radio”
