The Festival runs Wednesday to Saturday, Aug 1st to the 4th. Top bluegrass artists from across the USA and the bluegrass spectrum will be represented. Wednesday night, the show opens with a band contest featuring some the top local bands from around New England. The bands vie for a cash prize as well as a chance to perform at the 2019 Pemi Festival. Thursday evenings’ show presents Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper. Michael is a 10 time winner of the IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) Fiddler of the Year Award, and deservedly so!  “It’s wicked to see how much music he pulls out of a bow,” says Vince Gill, He’s untouchable.” Also on the Thursday schedule is Rock Hearts, Monadnock, Chris Henry and the Hardcore Bluegrass, and perennial favorites, Nuthin’ Fancy. The Friday schedule adds to the momentum with The Kathy Kallick Band, Laurie Lewis and the Right Hand, Remington Ryde, The Misty Mountaineers, Rock Hearts, and headlining the Friday show are The Earls of Leicester, featuring Jerry Douglas. Saturdays full schedule includes Newfound Grass, The Misty Mountaineers, The Kathy Kallick Band, The Lonely Heartstring Band, The Feinberg Brothers, and closing the show are Pemi favorites, The Gibson Brothers. Festival tickets prices range from $130 for the full 4 day Festival ticket to single day tickets, Thurs $50, Fri and Sat $60. A limited number of powered campsites and an almost unlimited amount of free rough camping is also available on the 75 acre Sugar Shack Campground in Thornton, NH. The campground is located of NH RT175 and along the Pemigewasset River from which the Festival draws its’ name.
