Not from this very show, but it’ll give you an idea of the band.

The Threads call themselves “New York City’s Most Dangerous Band.”  Lately, I’ve seen lots of city bands and it’s tough to quarrel over that statement.  From the time lead singer Mick Brown grabbed the mic, I knew this was a special band.  Brown has that “Mick Jagger Swagger” and knows how really work the crowd.

The Threads have been around since 2004 playing straight-ahead rock ‘n’ roll.  No frills, no gimmicks, just true rock. Brown jumped into the crowd and back on the stage.  Later he would jump again into the crowd and sing to just one person, then go to another person and sing.  He rolled on the floor and there was some glitter on the floor from the prior act. He rubbed it all over his face and the crowd just ate it up.

Finally after three songs, he got back on stage and sings the next song on his back. Brown was certainly having as much fun as the crowd. Not sure if this is a regular occurrence, as this was my first time seeing The Threads. . . but it definitely won’t be my last.

The band consists of Mick – vocals, Andy – guitars/vocals, Roger – guitars/vocals, Anthony – bass/vocals, Chris – drums.  The Threads were one of the openers for the amazing Tommy London, anther great rocker.   -> thethreadsnyc.com <-
