New Orleans Legend George Porter Jr, Keller Williams Join 18th Annual Wormtown Music Festival Lineup
Wormtown Trading Company announced the full lineup for its 18th Annual Wormtown Music Festival, coming September 16-18 to Camp Kee-Wanee in Greenfield MA. New Orleans funk legend George Porter, Jr and his Runnin’ Pardners, and popular Colorado-based “one-man band” Keller Williams are among the headliners, along with Max Creek, Zach Deputy and the Ryan Montbleau Band.
These national acts top a bill totaling over sixty bands who will perform on multiple stages throughout the weekend. Festival admission includes three days and two nights of camping at Camp Kee-Wanee, which serves as an inclusive summer day camp with emphasis on the arts during the summer, and has been home to Wormtown’s music festivals (which include May’s StrangeCreek Campout) since 2003.
The lineup also includes a large number of regional musical from all over the northeast, and numerous local musicians from the Pioneer Valley, as well as a community bonfire, food and craft vendors, Family Camping and Teen Scene, fire spinners, and the ‘Holistic Village’ for health-oriented activities, among other attractions.
“We know a lot of people enjoy seeing their favorites at our shows every year,” explained Wormtown founder Mark Blanchette, “but we always have to keep it fresh with different acts, and we’re really excited to add Keller Williams and George Porter to the bill. The response has been spectacular, people are excited to hear them at our gathering.”
Though early entry is available on Thursday for an additional fee, gates formally open on 9am on Friday the 16th; campgrounds clear by 6pm on Sunday the 18h. Attendees under 18 must be accompanied by an adult; kids 15 and under are free.
Additional bands include Adam Ezra Group, Bella’s Bartok (2x), Roots of Creation, rice – An American Band, Rebel Alliance, the Alchemystics, Outer Stylie, Kung Fu, Pink Talking Fish, Particle, Consider the Source, Rev Tor’s the Last Waltz Live, The Commander Cody Band, Hayley Jane and the Primates, The Z3, Banooba, Shakedown (2x), The Romano Project, Secret Sage, Ras Spectiv, The Broadcast, Depth Quartet, William Thompson Funk Experiment, Desert Rain, Secret Sage, and many many more bands.
Readers here have come to realize that this is a favored festival for us- we just plain love it. In addition to there is just a great scene. Everyone there is family, and everyone takes care of each other. 
There is easy access to a stream for cooling, and beautiful woods and grounds. Having stages on the main stage field (two of them that allows for minimal time between bands, like literally minutes at most), in the woods (two different locations there) and two late night cabins provides different viewing and performing environments that just allows attendees to shake up their experience considerably from band to band if they wish.
