SummerSound Live @ Tanglewood is a 2-Day Music Festival in The Berkshires that runs in conjunction with the Memorial Day Races.   The festival is held on the grounds of Tanglewood Music Center in Lenox, MA.

tanglewoodWith only ten days until SummerSound, ticket sales are higher than anticipated. VIP tickets and weekend passes sales are more than 80% higher than what festival organizers expected and Up Front Parking is sold out. “We are really excited and encouraged by ticket sales.  With Indigo Girls, Sister Sparrow and Pimps of Joytime all having new albums out, plus the local draw of Barefoot Truth and others I think we really hit a good balance.  People are genuinely excited and so are we!” -Festival Founder Matt Linick

The Indigo Girls’ recently released single “Learned it On Me” in advance of their new album set to come out in June entitled One Lost Day has been drawing rave reviews from music writers and blogs across the country.   Pimps of Joytime and Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds, veterans of larger music festivals such as Bonnaroo, also have new albums out and will be featuring their new songs at SummerSound Live @ Tanglewood.
